Who we are
Through stimulating research and sound science, the Atlantic Salmon Trust is the foremost evidence-based salmon conservation charity in the UK. Fighting to halt the dramatic decline in wild Atlantic salmon stocks, the Trust is on a mission to protect this iconic species and safeguard their future.Based in the UK but with a reach and reputation that extends around the fisheries world, delivering ground breaking and exciting research prgrammes such as the Moray Firth and West Coast Tracking.
The Atlantic Salmon Trust is also a partner within the Missing Salmon Alliance,a group of conservation focused organisations have come together to drive action and save our wild Atlantic salmon from extinction by combining expertise, coordinating activities and advocating effective management solutions. Together we are progressing with the Likely Suspects Framework whilst also delivering innovative awareness camapsigns such as "Salmon School" which was featured at the heart of COP26 in Glasgow.
