Who we are
Now a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, Thatcham Memorial Foundation is a charity that has existed in one guise or another since 1947. The Foundation serves the community of Thatcham and its surrounding parishes as outlined in its constitution. The Foundation is custodian of a 7.5 acre site in the heart of the town, principally operating Thatcham Memorial Hall – a community building with multiple facilities, and the Memorial Playing Fields – mainly used for private recreation with organised events bringing extra income to support grounds maintenance. The charity leases land and premises to the Thatcham Bowling Club, 2nd Thatcham Scouts and Thatcham Tennis Club, it is also the custodian of Thatcham War Memorial and is responsible for maintenance.

Thatcham Memorial Foundation has a policy in places that aims to prevent unfair and discriminatory practices within the Foundation and to encourage full contribution from its diverse community. TMF is committed to actively opposing all forms of discrimination. TMF also aims to provide a service that does not discriminate against users in the means by which they can access the services and goods supplied by the TMF. The TMF believes that all employees and service users are entitled to be treated equally, with respect and dignity.
