The Thackray Museum of Medicine is the UK’s foremost independent medical museum, with a mission to inspire the public with the purpose and passion of medicine and healthcare. Housed in the former Leeds Union Workhouse, the museum combines a world-class collection, a unique historic building and a strategic location within one of the most important centres of medical research and teaching in the country. We are a museum for everyone covering a subject that touches everyone’s lives.
