Who we are

Take Her Lead wants to ensure that every young woman and girl gets the best possible experience of cricket by making the game a more welcoming and inclusive environment in which all women and girls can fulfil their potential and thrive  - within the game and beyond.

We were founded in 2022 by former England Ashes and World Cup winner, turned TV presenter and analyst, Isa Guha, in memory of her late mother, Roma. 

WHAT WE DO

1. Amplify her Voice: We create opportunities for women and girls to share their thoughts, experiences, vision and needs, and then we act on these to make cricket a more welcoming environment and enjoyable experience for them. 

2. Empower Women in the Game: We bring together women involved in the game at all levels to share experiences and opportunities, provide support, offer guidance, and build relationships. 

3. Connect the Community: we bring the cricket community together in support of women and girls in the game, ensuring that the cricket environment meets her needs. 

HOW WE DO THIS

1. Cricket Mentoring: Through our mentors, a group of inspiring leading female cricketers, we offer workshops, education, insight, and support to young girls playing the game.

2. Collaborating with Partners: we work with partners (eg counties, regional teams,  Lord’s Taverners, MCC Foundation etc) across the spectrum of the game to ensure women and girls connected to any cricket "provider" access the same THL opportunities. 

3. Building Community Support: Through our #GotYourBackPledge on social media and with onsite activations at international and domestic matches this summer, we are asking all cricket fans to unite and pledge to support and encourage young women and girls in the game, ensuring that the cricket environment meets their needs. 

4. Forward Drive Network: we are building a community of women who work or volunteer at any level. This platform  will be the go-to place for women in cricket to access job openings, coaching courses, information on where to play, networking opportunities and much more.

5. Inspiring opportunities: We create moments that inspire, such as behind the scenes access to professional training sessions for aspiring young players; money can't buy
