About us
Who we are
Our mission is to support and empower survivors of sexual violence and to work towards ending sexual violence in society.
Survivors' Network was established in 1990 by a group of female survivors of childhood sexual abuse to provide services that would support other female survivors of childhood sexual abuse. We have grown from those humble beginnings to an organisation that now offers a range of professional relevant services to survivors of any gender who have experienced any form of sexual violence. We are fully accredited members of Rape Crisis England and Wales and are the Rape Crisis Centre for Sussex.
We are contacted by over 900 people every year and that number is growing. Rape and sexual abuse can happen to anyone regardless of their age, gender, race, religion, culture or social status.
