About us
Who we are
SAGE has a value base that is deeply rooted in quality; a conviction that resources channelled into high quality support will deliver truly sustainable, high quality outcomes for adults with long term mental health needs. In an age of austerity it is the sort of organisation that inspires passionate fondness and loyalty from all who engage with it. The current Director has been with the organisation for three years and continuity is typical of staff, Trustees and volunteers. Clients report we give their lives structure, constructive activity and most importantly a sense of being valued and hope for the future. Both the STH and the arts activity we deliver is immensely powerful and it is hugely satisfying to lead on sustaining and developing that process.
SAGE prides itself in being a flexible and supportive employer. The incoming Director will be joining an organisation with a fantastic city-wide reputation, the well-developed asset of the allotments for delivery of STH and other activity, a team of highly committed and skilled staff and a Board of Trustees who are deeply committed to the organisation’s sustainability and have been closely involved in the evolutionary steps to date. SAGE currently has funds secured to the end of July 2021. At present the plans thereafter are fairly fluid and the Director will have the satisfaction of playing a key role in identifying ways forward that can build on the current firm foundation.
