About us
Who we are
Stars of Cancer is a company specially formed to create a movie that can contribute towards cancer research.
Our experienced filmmakers wish to create a revenue earning feature/docuentary film with the revenues from global sales going to much needed cancer research.
We are a happy and grateful team of compassionates who believe in backing up our (often young) scientists, many of whom go to work each day with smiles on their faces, along with hope and optimism in their efforts to create yet another cure for so many people suffering this disease. There are many different forms of cancer, with many different cures needing researched.
Movie and Music gongs (we've seen and received a few in our time) may be shiny but they also cast a shadow and red carpets are not our thing. The greatest awards we can possibly present to our unsung scientists would be FUNDING, plus it gives us a chance to say 'THANK YOU' for their incredible work.
Our culture and values
Our culture and beliefs are simple, summed up perfectly in a statement by one native American Indian chief in 1860: "You were put on this earth for the benefit of mankind, do you really think you are here for something else?".
One scientist (Dr. Oxana Polyakova) made a statement about her work, and the work carried out by her colleagues,
saying: " THINK OF US AS YOUR ARMY AGAINST THIS DISEASE".
Isn't it time we acknowledged that these superstar warrior scientists actually exist and need our help? They never complain, never go on strike and never boast about their work. It's time to embrace these people, all of whom (without fuss) fix us broken humans. Cancer whispered to the scientists "You cannot win, you cannot fight the storm"
The Scientists whispered back: "WE ARE THE STORM".
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
We embrace cultures and people from all walks of life because we think that diversity is amazing. Our science laboratories are full of people from every country in the world. A planet cannot turn any other way. A planet cannot survive any other way.
DISABLED? Our director has a sign on his wall which reads: The only disabled person in this building would be Michael should his wonderful colleagues not turn up for work.
