About us
Who we are
Starfish Greathearts Foundation is an international charity responding to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in South Africa. Our aim is to empower communities to deliver professional and sustainable services to children made vulnerable or orphaned by the impact of HIV/AIDS. Starfish currently delivers crisis intervention, comprehensive care and development programmes to more than 15,000 children. These vital intervention and development programmes are delivered through partnerships with 31 non-governmental and community based organisations at grassroots level throughout South Africa. Starfish has been instrumental in developing and establishing this coalition of local organisations in order to facilitate a co-ordinated nation-wide holistic response to the needs of children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
