About us
Who we are
At St Vincent’s Hospice we care for local people affected by life limiting illness. We deal with patients with all diagnoses – not just cancer, but other illnesses too. Providing palliative and end of life care, our team of specialist, dedicated staff provide care, support, and guidance in our 8 beds, our day hospice, and in people’s own homes.
We have volunteers assisting in many areas throughout the Hospice and in our shops and value greatly the contribution they make to its day to day running.
Volunteers help out in many areas such as Driving, Administration, Complementary Therapy, Day Hospice, Kitchen, Reception, The Barn Tearoom, In-Patient Unit, Fundraising, Maintenance and Housekeeping. We also have 9 charity shops locally and the furniture barn here at the Hospice.
As little as a few hours a week of your spare time can make a big difference to the Hospice. In many of our roles no experience is necessary as full training will be given.
Our vision is to provide access to the best possible care and support to everyone living with a life-limiting illness in the local community.
