About us
Who we are
Ringlestone Community Centre Development Group (RCCDG) is a registered charity run by a board of 10 Trustees and has the lease from Canterbury Diocese to manage St Faith's Centre - the building and the activities, in conjunction with the Priest-in-Charge and St Faith's Parochial Church Council. We have a FareShare shop for anyone to use, a Foodbank, and now run a 6-day pw Mon-Sat donation-based cafe whichis well-used. This is managed by our Kitchen Co-Ordinator, with a team of volunteers on various days. There is a privately-run Daycare Nursery Mon-Fri - they have their own dedicated room and small outside area but share the kitchen and outside garden area for play. We have a whole range of regular hirers, including a Speech Therapist on 5 days pw as well as one-off events - training, conferences, children's parties etc. The Centre is reserved for church use on Sundays. St Faith's Centre is warm and was designed to be eco-friendly and sustainable. It is heated by electricity from the solar panels on the roof with a battery to store the energy.
Our culture and values
We aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive environment to people using the Centre, enjoying the cafe, attending events and Church activities and services, with respect demonstrated to everyone, regardless of their beliefs. We have a Staff Handbook and Code of Conduct which we expect all staff and volunteers working in the Centre to follow. We value our staff and volunteers and their loyalty and will offer them support if needed.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
As noted above, we expect respect and adherence to the Code of Conduct and will support staff and volunteers if they identify or challenge discrimination.
