About us
Who we are
Sports Fun 4 All supports 3 – 21-year-olds through the provision of sports-based activities to:
- create safe, positive learning environments that will help them to live healthier lives, improve their mental and physical wellbeing and reduce social isolation;
- remove barriers to accessing high-quality facilities that will empower them to use sport as a vehicle for change in their community through volunteering opportunities; and
- develop their soft skills and provide opportunities to access accredited qualifications and training to increase employment opportunities.
Our Story
Sports Fun 4 All was set up by our founder Kieran Connolly in September 2016 as there was a lack of quality football coaching for young people in Catford and the surrounding areas.
Sports Fun 4 All initially started off delivering two free football projects at Bellingham Green and Downham Leisure Centre funded through the Lewisham Assembly Fund.
The funding finished in December 2016; we decided to carry on but with paid sessions due to players and parents’ demands. The Bellingham Green Session moved to Goldsmiths Community Centre, but after much success in the first few weeks, we outgrew this and moved to Forster Memorial Park in April 2017. In June 2017, we started our Sunday session and run ever since.
