About us
Who we are
South Staffordshire Network for Mental health (SSNMH) is an independent registered charity and company limited by guarantee formed in 2003 and acts as a signposting service for people with or at risk of developing mental ill health. We work as a voice for people with mental illness to improve the services provided and identify gaps providing feedback to providers and commissioners of these services. We receive funding from Staffordshire County Council and the Big Lottery Fund and have approximately 700 members. Geographically we cover the six districts of south Staffordshire, i.e. Lichfield, Cannock, Stafford & District, Tamworth, East Staffordshire (Burton) and South Staffordshire. We have a small number of staff supported by a team of volunteers who undertake a lot of the work we do and we have achieved Investing in Volunteers status for our volunteering programme.
