Who we are

What is this program? The Son-Rise Program® teaches a specific and comprehensive system of treatment and education designed to help families and caregivers enable their children to dramatically improve in all areas of learning, development, communication and skill acquisition. It offers highly effective educational techniques, strategies and principles for designing, implementing and maintaining a stimulating, high-energy, one-on-one, home-based, child and adult centered programs. Who will you be working with? You will be working with a fabulous young adult called Shakeel, in his cozy home environment. Become part of the Shakeel’s great team of Son-Rise volunteers. Understanding the Aims of our program : 1. Establish a warm, interactive rapport with Shakeel. 2. Implement effective educational techniques. 3. Enable Shakeel to move beyond repetitive “stimming” behaviors. 4. Move through challenging behaviors. 5. Motivate Shakeel to learn–and to enjoy learning. 6. Optimize his learning environment. 7. Jump-start speech and language development. 8. Relax and have fun, for both you and shakeel. 9. train a team of volunteers and helpers. 10. Create and sustain an attitude of hope and optimism about Shakeel’s future.
