Smart Works Reading

Who we are

Smart Works is a UK charity that provides high quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need. Women are referred to the charity from many locations, including job centres, work programmes, prisons, care homes, homeless shelters and mental health charities.  Half have been unsuccessful in over 20 job applications, a third have been turned down from over 50 jobs and all are suffering from a lack of confidence in their own abilities.

Smart Works Reading has been operating for nearly four years and has helped over 1,200 women. The charity helps women from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire every year, helping them to feel confident, look fabulous, succeed at their job interview and move on with their life.

Over 60% of clients who have visited Smart Works Reading go on to get the job.
