About us
Who we are
Sight Scotland is Scotland's largest vision impairment charity. We care, educate and employ blind and partially sighted people from across the UK. We are a registered Scottish charity SC017167.
Sight Scotland is a service provider and the funds that we raise are spent directly on caring for, educating and empowering visually impaired people. We support people of all ages - from babies and toddlers at our pre-school play group, children and young people at our school, after school club and young adults service. We run the Scottish Braille Press, which produces books and magazines in Braille and transcribes any document for individuals and businesses into Braille, Large Print or Audio format.
Our vision is to see a community in which blind and partially sighted people, including those who have other disabilities, are fully included and lead fulfilling lives.
