Who we are
Shift is a non-profit, mission-driven organization with staff in the UK, US, Netherlands, Canada, & Australia. Our vision is a world in which business gets done with respect for people’s dignity. Our mission is to shape the legal standards, market incentives and leadership practices that embed respect for human rights into business.
Over the last decade, we have established ourselves as pioneers in driving business respect for human rights by leveraging the power of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). Our values are principled pragmatism, purposeful curiosity and respectful collaboration. We strive for this to be evident in how we behave in all of our work and interactions.
