Who we are

Sheffield ME & Fibromyalgia Group is a small charity providing information and support to people affected by Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia and long Covid in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. We are a member-led charity that offers a range of support and services including peer support, drop ins, activities and events, benefits and social care advocacy and more

Our culture and values

We aim to:
• Relieve those suffering from the illnesses variously known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), chronic
fatigue syndrome (CFS) or post-viral fatigue syndrome (PVFS), fibromyalgia and more recently long
Covid, and in particular by the provision of help and assistance through mutual support and
information exchange
• Educate the general public through the promotion and dissemination of knowledge about the
aforementioned conditions
Outcomes for our members are:
• Enabling them to make informed life choices by accessing quality information about their illnesses
and the support available
• Ensuring their economic situation is maximised
• Increasing their links and active engagement with other sufferers, carers and allies to reduce their
social isolation
