Who we are

SUF is a UK registered charity whose purpose is to prevent the extinction of endangered animals by securing and re-wilding their habitats. We also encourage careers in wildlife conservation and are particular active in South Africa and Kenya.

People won't protect what they don't care about, and they won't care about that which they have not experienced. Our first job is to help get as many people as possible over to our operations overseas and then let that experience work its magic. What does it mean to care if you don't take any action?

The project was started in response to the simple question "Well what are you doing?". Here's the answer. Our second job is to find ways that enable people to get directly involved so they can witness the impact that they make. In this way we creat lifelong personal bonds between people and the difference they make. This brings purpose and meaning to peoples' lives and ensures that this project will be sustained long after the founders are dead. That's the point.
