Who we are

Salvation Army Trading Co Ltd recognises the transformative powers of volunteering for both the beneficiary and for the volunteer themselves.

We have over 2000 volunteers in our family of charity shops and donation centres. Our volunteers are very important to us and we simply could not operate without them.  There are a wide variety of duties that are carried out daily that we need our volunteers to help with. These include customer services, gift aid ambassadors, stock room assistants and much, much more.

We are also looking for volunteers who have a specialist skill they would like to share with us e.g. bookworm, antiques guru, accountant, e-bay enthusiast, joinery skills the list is endless. Perhaps they have a car and can help us to collect donations in the local area? Perhaps they have experience in recruiting and can help us recruit more volunteers.

We can offer NVQ’s in partnership with Derby college.
