About us

Who we are

Many people face inequalities that cause poverty, impacting their health,
welfare, education, employment and housing. At Rocket Science we
understand these issues and work with organisations to break the cycles of
inequality and help people improve their wellbeing.
We do this in 3 ways:
By researching needs to help organisations design better services
By providing evaluations that improve outcomes and best practice
By managing funds to ensure they have the biggest impact
We are a female-owned business with a social purpose. For over 20 years
we’ve helped tackle inequality across the UK. Our ethical approach is always
trauma, culture and gender informed. By listening to and amplifying their
experiences we put people at the heart of everything.

Our culture and values

Curious – Being curious about the world in which we work, looking for
opportunities to network and connect, ideas and practice and sharing these
with others, in our thinking and in our work to support the growth, impact and
profile of Rocket Science
Communicating –Keeping colleagues and clients informed of what is happening
on projects and proposals so that we know at any time where we are in a
project if you have to be absent or cannot fulfill project commitments or are
struggling – tell others early so we can meet the needs of the business and
meet client deadlines
Committed – to doing the best we can throughout our work, striving for
excellence, delivering quality and meeting the expectations of our roles and
responsibilities to each other and to our clients
Being kind – Being kind is at the heart of what it takes to be a Rocket Scientist,
kind to yourself, to others and acting with kindness in all that we do in our
interactions with each other, clients and people we work with in good and
difficult times. Help colleagues in times of need when they are struggling or
giving them support to help them learn and develop from other’s experiences
and knowledge
Self-reflective – Having the confidence, skills and safety to be self-reflective,
understanding how we work, what we are learning, the impact we have on
others and comfortable with sharing and developing where need to grow and
develop - A Rocket Scientist should feel safe at any time to be able to share
their concerns and issues without fear of recrimination or bad feeling – and we
should be able to understand the value of constructive criticism and feedback
without it feeling negative
Managing wellbeing – Alongside our support for mental wellbeing, actively
manage our own wellbeing, using the support available and letting the right
people know when you are struggling so we can help – its ok not to be ok.
