About us
Who we are
RWNS is a community and volunteer-led charity. We offer friendship and support to displaced people and newly settled families in North Somerset.
Since 2017, we’ve befriended families and displaced people arriving from Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine.
Our work includes:
- Rehoming – preparing secure, comfortable accommodation for displaced people in the South West
- Befriending – our companionship service welcomes new arrivals and helps people settle into the area
- Welcome Cafe – a weekly social event in Weston-Super-Mare for resettled refugees and newly arrived individuals
- Campaigning and fundraising – wider activities that support those in need of a safe place to go
