About us
Who we are
Red Kite is a small emergent charity formally constituted in October 2019 and became operational in Dec 2020. We are at the exciting moment of establishing specialist support and counselling services for women and men (18+) who have experienced rape, sexual assault, or childhood sexual abuse. In the first year we anticipate an annual turnover of £60,000 rising as we develop in the years ahead.
The post holder will contribute towards the strategic development and operational management of all areas of the organisation in the setting up Red Kite and leading it to organisational maturity. This key role is designed to lead, manage, and develop the charitable services functions of providing a 24-hour Helpline staffed by our team of trained volunteers, as well as group work and long-term counselling based in Eastern Hertfordshire. We envisage our counselling services will also be offered across Eastern Hertfordshire virtually and at community-based locations. The post holder will oversee the Social Media Team whose overall accountability is to the Communications expert on the Red Kite Board.
