About us
Who we are
ReCOM is a local charity that aims to help people get online in Solihull and Birmingham. We makes a difference to the lives of hundreds of people each year who are excluded from the online world, most of whom are over 50 years of age. By tailoring our approach to need, we have developed highly regarded services that help our beneficiaries gain the digital skills to get online. This lets them access the benefits the internet offers; reducing social isolation, increasing employment prospects, accessing services, keeping in touch with friends & family, saving money and much more!
ReCOM started in 2002 and has since established itself as a well-respected organisation with funders, partners and clients alike. With a core team of four part time staff, a pool of trainers and a large cohort of volunteers, we pride ourselves on delivering quality services. We do this by being responsive to changing needs, working in community spaces and having a strong commitment to value for money.
