Who we are

Welcome to RealSAM. We’re a small brand with a big ambition to create the world’s leading fully voice controlled technology, all designed for people living with Sight Loss.

Backed by the RNIB and O2, we’ve been supporting the UK’s visually impaired community since 2018 with our easy to use smartphones and, more recently, our smart speaker entertainment service for Alexa and Google.

We believe that staying in touch with loved ones has never been more important and sight loss should never be a barrier.

Loved for its simplicity, the RealSAM Pocket smartphone is able to call, text, read books and newspapers or play the radio all operated just by using your voice. There’s no need to learn a complicated touch screen or struggle with small buttons; just tap the screen once and talk.

What really makes us different for blind and partially sighted people is our range of built-in Assistance Solutions. Character recognition means Pocket can take a photo and read text back to you, ask Pocket to easily set reminders or get help when out and about with our navigation tool that tells you where to walk. Pocket can also connect to other Bluetooth devices, which is particularly helpful for those wearing hearing aids.
