About us
Who we are
Project Embrace is a UK based Social Enterprise dedicated to pioneering user-led innovation that empowers people with mental health conditions to self-manage and recover. We work with a variety of local and national organisations to raise awareness and adapt our services for people in a range environments including education, healthcare, probabtion, employment and the workplace.
Our product The Pocket Advocate was successfully trialled within the NHS Foundation Trust, and is now ready to launch as a wide range of solutions that offer an innovative user-led approach, proven to change lives. The Pocket Advocate clearly shows that: mental distress is manageable; with the right intervention the cycles of crisis and relapse can be prevented; an individual has the power to take responsibility for the worsening of their symptoms and become respected as an equal voice in the care they receive.
Our insight and consultation is inspired by over 30 years of experience within mental health and psychiatric services.
All of our resources strive to: create equality between those who receive and give care; inspire people to manage and take ownership of their treatment, and offer those in a support role a better understanding of someone going through struggle. Through this awareness, people become educated and empowered to take action, with the support of each other.
“[The] Pocket Advocate is by far the most intuitive and user friendly system I have seen...” - Healthcare Professional, Camden & Islington.
“Thank you so much for this amazing service, I will be recommending it to others. It really gives me peace of mind to know I will have this booklet with me at all times.” - H.F., Digital Customer, Nottinghamshire.
“This is a huge gap in services and the long term social benefits of this work would more than outweigh the short term costs.” - Social Worker, Camden.
“...[The Pocket Advocate] is inspirational and people feel really invested in it...They are in the driving seat, it is truly service user led, and for this I think the tool is unique and invaluable...it’s a bit like a mobile phone - once you have one you wonder how you ever lived without it.” - Social Worker, Camden.
“If a person can’t communicate what they need, their ability to respond does not exist, and they are dependent upon others to take that responsibility for them.” - Danielle Singer Moore, Founder of Project Embrace.
