Who we are

The Peter Ashley Activities Trust is an exciting, dynamic charity set high above Portsmouth on Portsdown Hill across two heritage sites;  Fort Widley and Fort Purbrook.   The historic environment of the Forts, with unrivalled views over Portsmouth, make for a unique setting in which members of the public come to learn and enjoy new and challenging outdoor and indoor activities. Over the years, thousands of young people and members of the community of all ages and abilities have enjoyed the “experience of the Forts” and we aim to continue to expand and upgrade the facilities in order to provide meaningful and challenging opportunities for all for years to come.
