People Know How

Who we are

People Know How is a Scottish social innovation charity with a passion for solving social issues. The charity was founded in 2013 on the principle that people know how to identify their needs and the solutions that will help them fulfil their potential and solve social issues. 

We provide a range of volunteering opportunities tailored to your personal interests, including roles supporting children, young people and adults as well as opportunities to volunteer on our canal boat! In joining our team, you’ll receive comprehensive support to gain work experience and training to develop your skills and achieve your goals.

Our main offices are in Edinburgh, Scotland and we work primarily in Edinburgh and East Lothian, with all parts of the community including children, young people, families, adults and the elderly. Our team is incredibly international, receiving volunteers, interns and placement students (our VIPs) from all over the world.
