Who we are
Led by our Executive Chair, Sir Trevor Pears, Pears Foundation is a family foundation driven by a desire to demonstrate the good that philanthropy can achieve in the world. We achieve this by:
- Providing core funding for essential costs
- Developing long-term relationships with our partners
- Offering more than money
In addition to funding, we provide:
The Pears Hub: our open plan working space, co-located with our office, with hot desks, meeting rooms and co-working and breakout spaces.
The Pears Professional Development Programme: a changing programme of workshops and ‘lunch and learns’, both online and in person, as well as tailored training for individual organisations.
About us
Pears Foundation is known for working relationally with its grantees and we have funded many of them for five and even ten years. In line with our values of passion, professionalism and integrity, the Pears team shares a commitment to being professional and supportive to grantees and all who interact with us.
Based in West Hampstead, the Foundation is located in the same building as the William Pears Group, the Pears family’s business, and benefits from shared finance, facilities, HR and IT teams. The Foundation itself is run by a small executive team that is friendly, hard- working and committed to learning and development.
The Pears Hub is the place where all the different forms of support that the Foundation provides come together. Pears grantees are able to book hot desks, co-working and meeting space and it is also the venue for our professional development workshops.
