Who we are
Pathways of Chesterfield is a service for the homeless, and those at risk of homelessness, in Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire. We are Chesterfield’s only centre for those experiencing a housing crisis.
Our aim is to prevent homelessness. Our mission is to eradicate rough sleeping in our community, and to support those without a permanent home to obtain and maintain one.
The following services are available at Pathways:
- Housing support service – 1:1 housing advice and support seeking emergency, local authority, housing association and private rented accommodation
- Benefits clinic – 1:1 sessions with our benefits advisor, looking at all benefits including housing benefits. We can assist with form completion. We can also assist with applying for emergency cash payments and trust funds.
- CAB clinic – Professional 1:1 advice from a Citizens Advice Money Skills Coach. Information available on budgeting and setting up bank accounts
- Specialist nurse on site for health care, assessment and referral
- Optician – monthly clinic
- Therapeutic massage – fortnightly clinic
- Podiatry – fortnightly clinic
- Emergency clothing and bedding – for existing clients
- Food provision – meals available for existing clients
- Rough sleepers breakfast – Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
- Weekly social group – support, advice and home cooked food available
- Cookery lessons – learn to cook cheap and nutritious meals
