Who we are

MISSION

The OU Students Association mission is to make a positive difference for all Open University (OU) students and underpins all of our decisions. Whether we are elected, selected, appointed, paid or just coming along for the laughs: we’re passionate about improving the future of the OU and Association for students.

VISION

Our vision is to support, encourage and empower OU students by:

• Offering students the support services that they need.
• Creating opportunities for students to engage in a vibrant and inclusive student community.
• Being a strong, effective and accountable representative body.
• Working in partnership with the OU, to enhance all aspects of the student experience.

VALUES

The things we value are what make us who we are and our staff behaviours support our mission, underpin our commitments and inform our decision-making. The behaviours we expect from one another are:

ABOUT OUR STAFF TEAM

We are one team, working together to achieve the best results for students, all day, every day. Staff living our values helps us to create a positive space to engage with our members. We aim to lead inclusively, and expect to put the wellbeing and success of our members first. We live our values and if you’ve got them, we want you!

Our teams are made up of amazing individuals with a range of talents, experience, knowledge and ideas. Support, passion, inclusion and enthusiasm are contagious, and we want it! We strive to get the most from our people, to provide our members with the best we can, so that together, we’re achieving our charitable objectives.
