Northamptonshire ACRE

Who we are

Northamptonshire ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) is a countywide, independent charitable organisation that for nearly 75 years has been working with rural communities in Northamptonshire to help improve their quality of life, especiallyfor  the disadvantaged. Our focus is and always has been on community development and engagement including helping groups to access funds for projects.

We are one of 38 Rural Community Councils working across England, which make up the ACRE Network. As part of this Network, we are able to access and share specialist knowledge, skills, and resources with our members. Our national body, ACRE, works on our behalf to make sure that government bodies listen to the needs and voices of rural communities and to ensure that new policies are rural proofed.
