About us
Who we are
North Yorkshire Hospice Care is an independent charity with a family of services which includes Herriot Hospice Homecare, Just ‘B’ and Saint Michael’s Hospice. Together we offer vital hospice care, emotional wellbeing and bereavement support.
Based in Harrogate and soon to open a base in Thirsk, we serve communities across North Yorkshire as well further afield.
Everything we do is led by our values which include putting people first, being kind, supportive, professional and responsive.
We are passionate about improving quality of life for people who need us, because no one should suffer.
We are innovative and collaborative in our approach, and always seek to listen, understand and respond to the needs of the communities we serve.
Today, we find ourselves in a time where there has never been a greater need for hospice care – or a greater need for all of us who support it. This means we must continually challenge ourselves to adapt, innovate and respond, while remaining true to the things that make our charity, and the care we provide, so very special.
Alongside our expert hospice care, Just ‘B’ provides vital emotional wellbeing and bereavement support for children, young people and adults, as well as a range of helplines and specialist services.
With our pledge to be there for 50% more people over the next three years, it’s an exciting time to join us.
