About us
Who we are
North Worcestershire Basement Projects (operating as The Basement Project) is a registered charity, founded in 1998, which provides a Drop- in Centre and Floating Support service for young people, aged 16 -25 years old, in and around North Worcestershire who are homeless or facing homelessness. The Basement operates through two work areas which receive funding and appoint specific staff members: “Floating Support/Outreach” and the “Drop-in Centre”.
Our Vision - a society where young people have the skills, knowledge and confidence to live independently; to achieve their aspirations; to overcome the disadvantages they face; to meet the challenges they face; and to live responsibly, with self-reliance and involvement in their local communities.
Our Mission - to provide services that are shaped by and for local young people, which enable them to meet their aspirations; to live responsibly and, where possible, to live independently; to overcome their challenges; to increase their confidence and self-reliance; and to contribute to their communities.
