• Offer the people of Greenwich quality community spaces that are: affordable; accessible; neutral and enabling
• Offer local support services the space and facilities that they need to maximise their positive impacts
• Give targeted help to local improvement initiatives
Our Aims:
• run a community centre of quality space for advocacy/therapeutic/developmental/educational/civic and social use
• assist and advise local individuals and groups seeking to organise socially beneficial projects
• help start up, maintain and strengthen local socially beneficial projects
• create and encourage partnerships that help improve and increase the wellbeing of local people
• work with lead organisations to maximise the success of their local improvement plans
The Concept:
A flexible non-political, independent community support organisation that provides our community with affordable space and
encourages people to create/run their own projects/programmes/events; an impartial community hub that facilitates local inward
investment; a space-based facility that works with partner agencies/providers to enable services to be delivered at the heart of the
community; creators of spaces where the whole community can unite for help, advice, support, therapy, education, reflection,
company, kindness, enjoyment, activity, celebrations and fun. A cost neutral productive heart for our widest local community.
The Facilities:
Ours: A set of managed rooms for rent and hire supported by event spaces, catering facilities and external public space
Others: Support in accessing a range of local space-based facilities at reduced and subsidised prices
Products and services:
• Room rent and space hire (office space/meeting rooms/activity and social space)
• Community group mentoring and support
• Local fundraising partnerships and bids
• Community social events
• Age specific activity sessions (parent & toddlers sessions; tea dances etcetera)
• Volunteering and work experience opportunities
• Promotion of local and wellbeing projects/programmes/events and opportunities
