About us
Who we are
Move The World (MTW) runs locally led Global Citizenship Education programmes in communities supporting youth to discover more about themselves, their community and the world around them. There has never been a more compelling time to be globally educated, it is fundamental to enable young people to access and participate in shaping our world. We believe Global Citizenship Education is key to facilitating the next generation of global leaders, but only if they are given the skills, understanding and knowledge they need to play an active role.
MTW’s Get Global programme is a grassroots-led, school-based global citizenship education programme designed and delivered by local ‘change-makers’ in the community of Medie, Ghana. We use the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals alongside a Global Citizenship Framework to facilitate children and young people about local and global issues, helping them to develop real and practical skills that contribute to change. Get Global is a 7-month tailored curriculum that works with students aged 10-12, youth leaders, schools, teachers and communities to develop the values, skills and knowledge needed to become engaged ‘global citizens’ who take action in their community.
