About us
Who we are
Montage Theatre Arts (MTA) is a registered charity that has been operating within Lewisham since 1998. With a respected and impressive history, the organisation champions the transformative power of the performing arts while removing financial and perceived social barriers to participation.
Working with over 1,000 young people per year, MTA offers a varied programme of classes, workshops and projects using dance, drama and singing to spark confidence and encourage participants to develop new and vital life skills.
The activities provided allow young people to use their creative voice, feel empowered and recognise their self-worth, creating a culture of positive engagement within education and learning. Experience within performing arts disciplines also develop critical and empathetic thinking. MTA creates a safe space away from external pressures where young people can flourish as individuals and as members of a supportive community brought together by shared interests.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Much like the community which MTA serves, our team is from all walks of life. We are deeply committed to inclusive working practices and encouraging diverse perspectives. We celebrate difference and encourage everyone to join us. Applications are welcome regardless of race, ethnic or national origin, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, neurodiversity, gender identity or expression, religious beliefs or age. We particularly welcome applications from individuals from under represented groups within performing arts and youth education sectors.
