About us
Who we are
Medics Against Violence (MAV) is a charity registered in Scotland and founded by clinicians known for running successful and award winning projects including Navigator, Youth Navigator, MAV Schools, Ask, Support, Care (ASC) and Pathfinder. Our values whether working in the education space or the support work space are Integrity, Compassion and Empowerment. Our primary aim is to prevent and reduce violence but we also recognise that at the root of violence are a range of social harms and trauma. So, when we work with people our approach is holistic, we aim to support them with all of the issues they are facing, trauma informed, evidence based and inclusive of their wider families.
