About us
Who we are
Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) is a grass-roots organisation directly managed by refugee communities in Manchester. For over 24 years, we have been providing practical support to those fleeing persecution, conflict, and various forms of injustice and abuse.
Our services are designed to help refugees and asylum seekers have the tools they need to resettle in the UK and flourish in their lives. We build our services with the following aims in mind.
- To support refugees to access services and opportunities on an equal basis, in order to prevent all forms of poverty and allow individuals to fulfil their potential.
- To educate refugees and asylum seekers on their rights and responsibilities as active citizens, and contribute to positive media representation of refugees.
- To empower refugees to establish strong community organisations and provide platforms for them to represent the needs and aspirations of their communities.
We are a small team and work closely together to support each other in our roles.
