About us
Who we are
We are a team of volunteers here in the UK who have been dedicating their time to alleviating extreme poverty in very rural Tanzanian communities since 2013. So far we have raised over £700,000, enabling us to empower over 25,000 children through quality education.
We are big believers in anti-western saviourism and instead work with our passionate team in Tanzania (made up of 2 staff members and 5 volunteers) and our 9 partner communities to implement vital projects such as classroom builds, toilet blocks, menstruation programmes, clean water and feeding programmes. We are dedicating the next 5-7 years to transforming our 9 partner schools from dilapidated, dangerous and uninspiring schools where students aren't regularly attending and not achieving good grades, to schools where children are motivated and feel safe in their school which enables them to gain the qualifications they need to get a good job in the future.
Our UK team of volunteers don't currently have the capacity to fundraise for the essential projects thousands of children need in our partner communities. We need the help of a professional Trusts and Foundations fundraiser to find essential funding for our planned projects. Our team is friendly, young, dynamic and has a can-do attitude. Our Founder volunteers 1-2 days a week to fundraise and monitor the projects. Our other Trustees and volunteers give up their time to help fundraise and support marketing and communications.
There is a gap in our team for someone to focus purely on Trusts and Foundations fundraising and support the reporting to successful grant-makers. 100% of donations go to our projects in Tanzania. Our UK operations (around £2,000 a year) and your salary will be covered by our core funders.
