Who we are

London Sinfonietta is the UK’s flagship new music ensemble. We want to place the best contemporary classical music at the heart of today’s culture. As a charity (Sinfonietta Productions Ltd) we're on a mission to inspire the public with the music of today. Our schools projects, including our innovative Composition Challenges, provide a range of opportunities for primary and secondary pupils to learn about and be inspired by new music. And our musicians and staff work with up-and-coming composers, conductors and performers in schemes such as Writing the Future and London Sinfonietta Academy, enabling them to develop their skills, learn more about the music industry, and make work in new ways. 

We are a staff team of c. 13, based in Kings Place, Kings Cross with a hybrid work pattern in place currently. We have an exciting programme of performances and events across a range of London and UK venues. We want our team to be representative of the communities where we work, encompassing a wide range of different backgrounds and experiences. Though some of our staff are musically trained or have backgrounds in the performing arts, this is by no means necessary for many of the roles in the organisation. We value and appreciate new ideas and perspectives that may help bring the exciting sound world of contemporary classical music to a wider audience.
