Lilomi

Who we are

Lilomi is a team of people from  the UK who are working to improve the lives of children at the Jonathan’s Child Care School and Orphanage in Bo, Sierra Leone. 

​We provide focused help by funding capital projects, educational and health care projects that improve the lives of children and ensure their basic needs are met so they have a strong foundation to build on, freeing them from preventable illness, hunger and the pitfalls that poverty brings.

​The projects that we fund are focused on a community so we’re providing real, solid change that has room to spread and grow and make a difference in the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.

What makes Lilomi stand out is that our founder lives on the ground, in Bo Sierra Leone. Lilomi is passionate about working with our local partner (Jonathan's child Care) to ensure that any projects we invest in are necessary, wanted and sustainable so the work we do is long lasting and serves our beneficairies in the best way possible. The fact that our founder lives on the ground and interacts with the children on a regular bsis means that the help we give can be translated to the local environment and we are not making decisions about the care of children that we do not know or only visit once a year.
