Who we are

Library of Things is a friendly space where you come to borrow useful Things and learn how to use them. Things like power tools, gardening things, kitchenware, events equipment...

Mission: To make borrowing better than buying. By better, we mean more affordable, more convenient and more socially rewarding.

Vision: To have a Library of Things embedded in libraries, park buildings, high streets and makerspaces in neighbourhoods across the UK. By accessing useful Things and learning to use them with neighbours, people will be able to make shared gardens on their estates, host community dinners, start their own market stalls – and feel more empowered to shape their homes, lives and neighbourhoods.
