Who we are

Let Us Shine is a small charity that has worked in Northern Ghana for 8 years specialising in the area of enhancing female education. Our maiden project is the Let Us Shine girls academy where we provide a free education to over 200 girls on out site, aged 5-18 who had previously never been educated. Our schools and boarding facilities are based on our 18 acre plot of land in rural Kpandai, Northern Ghana. Our site includes dorm accomodation for 200, primary school, junior secondary, senior secondary, community and vocational training centre, library, IT centre, dining hall, sports field, kitchen area and volunteer accommodation. All our female students board on the land and we employ 10+ staff in Ghana including teachers and cooks who work under our Country Manager who reports to the board of trustees. Other projects we run are adult literacy and numeracy, vocational programmes and our shining stars scholarship for unique young adults.
