About us
Who we are
The home offers a range of activities for residents, including arts and crafts, quizzes and cake baking. We also hold events in the home such as summer barbeques, coffee mornings and bring-and-buy sales. You’ll have the chance to be social and get involved with a wide range of activities.
We have group activities and 1:1 with a service user, whichever makes you more comfortable, you can take part in both , just talk to your volunteer coordinator. You'll have full support and help if needed.
A Bit about Leonard Cheshire Disability: A disability can happen to anyone at any time and when it does it can turn lives upside down. We want to be there to meet the needs of disabled people and make sure their disability is not an obstacle in living their life.
That is why we provide devoted care to thousands of people in our homes across the UK and in people’s own homes too.
It’s why we support disabled people to be as independent as possible with opportunities to learn new skills, get into work and take part in community activities.
And why we campaign alongside disabled people to bring about changes for the better and to challenge ignorance and unfairness in society.
To do this we need your support.
