About us
Who we are
Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) supports sight impaired people to live independent lives.
We feel that anyone who has a sight impairment should be able to live a fulfilled, healthy and safe life, exercise self-determination and make informed choices, and achieve their own personal goals.
We help make this a reality by providing comprehensive support services to people of any age and any stage of the sight loss journey. We work in Kent, Medway, Bromley and Bexley.
KAB provides a huge range of help and support for people of all ages whose sight loss affects their daily lives. No two people's needs are the same, so each person's rehabilitation, or skills training programme, takes into account their unique situation.
Working for KAB means you'll be joining an organisation that:
Is the region's leading provider of services for people who have a sight impairment.
Is an accredited Living Wage employer.
Was held up as an example of good practice in 'Good Practice in Sight' (RNIB, 2008).
Is Investors In People accredited, so you'll benefit from a supportive work environment where training and professional development are valued.
