About us
Who we are
If you want to work in a small, friendly team for a highly respected environmental charity, and play a part in making a real difference for wild places and the wider environment, this role could be ideal for you.
The John Muir Trust is a conservation charity dedicated to the experience, protection and repair of wild places. Founded in 1983, the Trust takes its inspiration from John Muir, the Scots-born founder of the modern conservation movement. Like Muir, the Trust believes in protecting wild places for their own sake as well as the benefits they bring to us all. We currently operate in Scotland, England and Wales. We are guardians for some of the UK’s finest wild places including Ben Nevis, Schiehallion, Sandwood Bay and Glenridding Common.
