Who we are

Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital is a registered charity, limited by guarantee. It was established in 1928 and granted charitable status in 1976.

It is the only wildlife centre in Cornwall dedicated purely to the rehabilitation of wild birds Caring for both land and sea birds it rescues, treats, and rehabilitates over a 1,000 birds every year and always aims to release birds back to the wild. Following an outbreak of Avian Influenza, and resulting cull, in 2022 the Charity has started a major overhaul of its operations with an objective being the refurbishment of its existing premises and building a biosecure centre for Seabirds.
