About us
Who we are
Our centres are places of welcome and hospitality where individuals and groups take part in weeks on a variety of themes.
The Abbey – Isle of Iona
A Resident Group of staff and volunteers share a year-round common life, and maintain daily services in the Abbey. They welcome guests to share all aspects of their life, including meals and work tasks, and to explore issues of common concern. Trade justice, the environment, peacemaking, interfaith dialogue; these are just some of the subjects that people get passionate about in our programmes.
Camas – the outdoor centre with a difference
Camas is the Iona Community’s outdoor activity centre on Mull. It is housed in 200-year old cottages nestled in a beautiful bay, 1 ¼ mile walk from the road to Fionnphort on the way to Iona. It’s a place of great beauty, off the grid and powered by renewable energy, where you can live simply, enjoying the natural rhythms of day and night, the nearness of nature and the warmth of community. We have an organic garden which supplies us with lots of salads, fruits and vegetables. All this, along with our expanding woodland and the seashore, makes Camas a great place to relax and have fun.
