Who we are
The Institute for Youth Work exists to give you, as a member of Youth and Young Peoples workforce, a voice in the changing times our sector has and will continue to experience.
By becoming a member you join hundreds of other youth and young people’s workers like yourself in proactively developing our profession to ensure that all young people have access to support, engagement and recreation.
The Institute is governed by a Council elected from within the membership and representing each of the membership categories, through this website we encourage you to share your views and let us know about your successes and the challenges you face in your work in order for the Institute to use its national voice to represent the interests, issues, passions and concerns of all members.
Through our website we will share opportunities for training, volunteering and employment and will recognise each member’s efforts to develop by accrediting Continuous Professional Development.
