About us
Who we are
The Include Project is all about inclusion, communication, music ... and occasionally cake.
We are building a more accessible and welcoming community for people with cognitive communication disabilities by providing inclusive community activities, consultancy and training for care providers, health services and businesses.
We raise awareness of communication needs, promote rights and teach the skills we all need to include people isolated by communication difficulties.
At our heart is The Include Choir, an inclusive choir of people with and without learning disabilities and autism, bringing the voices of marginalised people with communication needs to the centre stage - and never failing to raise a smile.
We aspire to include our members in all aspects of our training delivery and organisational development in a meaningful way, and train staff and volunteers to help us do this.
Working with Include means joining an unconventional, flexible and fun-loving team where everyone's voice and views are equally valued. All services are underpinned by speech and language therapy best practice and demonstrate that life's most important messages can be delivered in an inclusive and enjoyable way, for everyone's benefit.
